Hello Dreamwidthers...

Ooooh, I've imported my old Livejournal and, well, I remember now why I stopped! 2011 was a hard time for me and then I shifted my "journaling" to actual regular blogging.

For anyone who finds this before I've tidied up my old posts... I'm in a much much better place now.

I left the alcoholic-in-recovery (he's still sober, we even got married eventually, but it was not the right relationship for either of us!)

I found a job local to me in Wales at an art/stationery shop - and worked there for 7 years.

I now live by the sea, still in Wales, have a new partner (of 6+ years at this point) and feel so very loved.

And I have multiple books published with actual publishers, teach magic online for a living, and have various income streams to balance the books. Oh, and I run storytelling events.

Maybe I'll start writing here - I've been using Insta as a place for long form informal writing on and off since it started tbh and it's a silly place for long text pieces! - maybe I'll just pop in occasionally until I find my people here...

But frankly FAWM is coming up, the social media landscape is changing, and I now use my blog for my business so a less formal place to muse and read other's musings more consciously feels like it might be good.

So... where are the magical musers hanging out?

Greetings & Salutations!

I'm Halo, a pagan author, storyteller, and witch. Also a Dr of Philosophy, singer songwriter, and magical creature.

I'm ADHD, queer, and disabled, also white British in Wales, all of which informs my perspective.

My intentions for this journal? To be more intentional about social media. To get back into creative writing and conversations. To share in ways that, hopefully, inspire others too.
