Many Soulcollage Cards - Harlequin, Bear and more...

Inspired by [personal profile] hamsterwoman's Trickster (in her journal) I created Harlequin, not a fool character, and it turns out she is not strictly a trickster figure for me either, almost holding what we think of as the old role of Shaman, but she holds a special place in my heart. Other Cards I have made include bear... I kept waking up and falling asleep with Bear on my mind. I even dreamt of a bear one night. So I made a card, and I'm not entirely sure yet what it means for me. Dancer is about opening to the Divine... specifically The Star Goddess and Nimue...

Harlequin

Harlequin Speaks: I am the one who crosses the line, who dances across the threshold and spins her way back. I light up the darkness with laughter, and darken the light with hidden truths. I can be vicious, because I do not care about your precious boundaries. They hold no meaning for me. I will tempt you across and I might show you the way back.

Bear

Bear Speaks: I am the one who emerges from deepest, darkest Peru. I come from far away places, deep in the underworld. I know where the plants that heal are to be found, and I am a fierce protector. Love me and I will love you back, bringing salmon from the river to feed you.

Dancer

Dancer Speaks: I am the one who dances to the beat of my own heart, to the beat of the heart of the earth. I dance the dance that dances the Goddess into Being, and Being into divinity. I open to joy and let go. The rythm of the Gods flow through me and I hear it in my heart. I am the one who dances with fire. Passion moves around and through me and I move it and it moves me. I know my own rythm and I can hear the rythm of the world.

The Star Card in the background (which I only just related to 'The Star Goddess' name-wise!) was the perfect image reflecting a dream I had about dancing for the Goddess. I realised last night that, while I can't do many excersize based things because of my back being dodgy still, I can spin on the spot because it keeps my back straight. At first I thought of ballroom dancing, but then I remembered a magazine lying open in my bathroom on an article on Whirling Dervishes. Rumi is someone I've meant to look at for a long time, and searching the web today I found this and am feeling strangely optimistic. Nimue, and my ancestors, are forever telling me to dance and while I did think they'd meant metaphorically they insisted it was literal... but the only dancing I knew hurt. This, however, might shed light. A way of stilling the mind and opening to the Divine. A way of moving, which I need, that doesn't hurt... perhaps the Star in the background - the foundation of the dance - opeing up to the divine pouring down from above and pouring it out upon the earth... perhaps it was a not so subtle pointer!

Aimara

Aimara Speaks: I am the one who dances naked through the flowers, pouring my golden breath of life into the world. I am the healer, the one who makes whole. I am the one who transforms what I touch into all that it can be. My breath and my blood flow through you, and you blossom.

Aimara is the Kamagrian energy - the divine ungendered feminine - and this is my impression of this energy as deity. A Kamagrian Dehara. (Kamagrian are a race of hermaphrodites in Storm Constantine's Wreaththu Chronicles, 'dehara' are the Wreaththu God-forms.) She is a part of the Star Goddess, a particular manifestation.

Purrs Within

Purrs Within Speaks: I am the one who hides in your heart, warm and purring. I am the one who pounces in the dark, sleek and stirring. I am the one who you feel when you hunger, strong and devouring. I am the one who you touch when you open, wild and free. I am the Wild in you, the part that can never be tamed. I am the Fire in you, held and not named. Walk with me, hear me roar!

Lampeter

Lampeter Speaks: I am the one who is wreathed in mists. A river runs swift through my heart. I am the one who welcomed you in, and hand of blessing forever raised. A place of green and wet, you call me home, I am the womb in which you must grow. One day you will leave, but I'll always be home.
